My wife and I reflect upon our 13.5 years together in two primary ways. Fear not: I'll focus only upon the positives here (:))))  -----   The romantic in me would hope to hear the distinction made between the time we first met and the time we first declared our love for one another. The marketer in me might let our demographics, say, our marital status do the talking, i.e., married or single.

This is a "Me, Myself & I" question from my family board game, Family Matters. Here's my answer: ----- My definition of success has changed considerably over the years. It's actually become better defined as I expanded it... ----- Early on, success was measured solely in terms of dollars and cents. Narrow-minded, no doubt, but easy to discern provided the success-in-question was worn, i.e., that the person "wore" their worth as was often the case where I grew up: Fairfield County, CT.

From the "My Favorite Things" set of cards comes the question, "What's your favorite holiday?" ----- Like many Americans, I'm a big fan of Christmas. And while Thanksgiving might be a more family-focused holiday insofar as people celebrate family and food without the distraction of gifts, I love Christmas. ----- First, there's the excitement of gifting - giving them and receiving them. Personally I enjoy shopping for those I love, thinking about what inspires them and how I might tap into or even extend that inspiration with a thoughtful purchase.

On Thanksgiving Day, after a three-week writing sabbatical, I return – renewed and refreshed thanks to two books, The Power of Full Engagement and The Power of Story. ----- “What have these business books got to do with parenting?” you ask. Everything. ----- We all know that parenting is one of the most demanding and important jobs there is because the store never closes and the impact has long-lasting repercussions. To do a solid job, we need to be fully engaged.

Yesterday was a big day for the smallest girl in our household: Sadie Rose, the youngest of two, finally had her crib taken down!
